 Tea Tree Hollow is a place where you come to relax with family or friends, to switch off from the constant electronic assault of our everyday world.

We seek to chart a course towards sustainable development through our green best practice, which will become evident from the minute you step into our compact house - without sacrificing your comfort and enjoyment. 

Tea Tree Hollow is proudly certified by Ecotourism Australia as a Nature Tourism accomodation destination.

Eco features:

• Off the grid, solar panels with battery storage.
• Automatic back-up generator, monitored for fuel consumption.
• Rainwater collected from roof, stored in large tank and filtered.
• Water usage meter.
• House insulated from top to bottom, walls, roof and under the floor.
• Compact house footprint, less building materials and their associated emissions
• Slightly tinted window to reduce heat and UV.
• Air-conditioning in open plan living area has auto switch off when not in use.
• Fine misting system (low water usage) on veranda cools down outside temperature.
• Most furniture and beds hand-made from recycled Australian hardwood timber.
• Outdoor entertainment area made from second-hand flag stones.
• Hand-crafted pizza oven from local material.
• Repurposed and upscaled furniture items.
• Fire wood for heater , pizza oven and bonfire are from fallen trees due to age or storms.
• Eco-friendly kitchen and bathroom cleaning products.
• 100% recycled toilet paper and kitchen paper towels.
• Biodegradable bin liners and waste bags.
• Eco-friendly liquid hand soap.
• Recycling and composting of waste.
• Natural walking paths – no paved paths.
• Ongoing projects to protect our biodiversity, e.g. 300 she-oak trees planted to provide food for endangered glossy black cockatoo.
